Thanks to you guys for being so, so, so incredibly awesome & putting up with my shenanigans.
This was a sporadic decision when I headed up to Asheville. They agreed on my sunrise idea AND were totally pumped for it. How did I get so lucky?! Originally, we were going to hike & shoot Black Balsam Knob, but apparently I am cursed or something. This is the second time I've been unable to find & shoot this location.
(If you scroll way down I blogged a post in November of an impromptu session with a couple whom I got lost with and we had to wing the whole thing. Anyways......)
So, we caught the sunrise at an overview on that beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, near Asheville. Drove around for a bit, taking impromptu photos whenever, wherever. These two are the best. Check the photos below for self-explanatory explanation.
Chelsea&Bo
They look good together, huh? Seriously though, their style is GOALS! [[ Ps. Ladies you can snag Chelsea's AUH-MAZ-ING dress at Nordstrom ! ]] That dress has beautiful movement, making it the perfect selection for photographing!
These two chose an early morning engagement session (which rarely happens for me - I vote more of these!) around their Charlotte neighborhood. We walked the streets & made simple conversation. They're so excited about their October wedding & after editing the session, I am just as eager!
Jordyn & Joey
It's been almost one year since Jordyn & Joey promised each other forever on the beautiful outer banks of North Carolina. This intimate ceremony was so powerful & full of emotion. Shared only with their parents & siblings, I couldn't be more humble that these two New Yorkers allowed me to share this moment with them.
St Thomas Vaca
We had the best get away to St Thomas this past January. Turns out sporadic vacations can be planned easier than expected. All you need is airbnb, instagram location searches, no seriously... (searching locations on instagram is my new addiction. Audios Pinterest) rental car, waterproof iphone & or camera, duh.

Waterlemon Cay on St John was bomb for snorkeling. It's a bit of a hike to get there, but worth it x100.
I loved my Leica X-U camera rental for our trip BUT the ProShot iPhone case seriously blew my mind just as much. I recommend this for the summer by (or in) the pool & all of your water filled vacas!
